Harvard Radcliffe Institute

My contract work as Acting Senior Designer for the Harvard Radcliffe Institute required deadline-driven design work for a wide range of projects including a 114-page annual yearbook of Radcliffe fellows, PowerPoint presentations, promotional posters and marketing collateral such as postcards and stickers. I worked with various stakeholders, who called upon my design expertise to offer vision and direction for projects.

Warren Miller Film Promotion

Promoted annual film screening that draws skiing enthusiasts from around New England and beyond. Geared toward a young demographic of modern-day adventurers with a love of extreme sports, this section was created using dramatic designs with eye-catching elements to match the energy of this popular niche event.

Seacoast Seniors

For nearly two decades, Seacoast Media Group’s senior section highlighted issues of interest to key demographic areas: older adults. Here, targeted advertising mixed with real-time advice from certified experts and community news and event coverage made this section a must-save for a significant portion of our readership.

Celebrate the Coast

New Hampshire and southern Maine's vibrant Seacoast region has long been a top tourist destination.
Celebrate the Coast monetized that popularity by providing a key advertising channel for regional restaurants, hotels, venues and other hospitality businesses. Each issue features informative but easily digestible editorial content aimed at seasonal visitors.

Pease Quarterly

A quarterly publication focusing on the business climate of the Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH.
As an innovative business hub redeveloped from a shuttered Air Force Base, Pease is a unique community — sprawling in physical footprint, but tight-knit in terms of the relationships between the most-boutique of small business owners and the most impressive international brands — Pease Quarterly is the go-to source for news and features that keeps the community connected.

Make the Grade

Seacoast Media Group published numerous magazines (Make the Grade, Back to School, Seacoast Kids and Summer Camp Guides) targeting the parents of school-aged children with relevant articles and fun designs. These special sections provided a fresh and lively take on parenting and school-related topics, and were a popular vehicle among advertisers.

The Seacoast Beer Guide

What's more fun than a special section about beer and the culinary delights it pairs well with? Published twice annually, Seacoast Beer Guide showcased news, features and event information covering the region's emerging craft beer industry — an industry that has since grown to have an annual economic impact of $457 million across the Granite State.

Seacoast Health Resources

The Seacoast Health Resource Guide was a directory-style publication that listed information regarding all varieties of healthcare providers in the region. Frequently sized at around 100 pages, this publication required creative approaches to resolve unique challenges including: multiple reviewers and stakeholders, lack of in-house accompanying visuals, and space limitations.

Auto Preview

This regional auto section was regularly crafted with the newspaper's biggest advertising revenue stream in mind. Presenting helpful information to consumers while promoting local car retailers was infused into every part of the design and editorial content. This large broadsheet section regularly had tight deadlines, demanding an even greater focus on time management.
